Saddle Up for Gove: Ride for the Gold is back and bigger than ever for 2026 Match Month! Each November, the Gove County Community Foundation brings our communities together for an opportunity to give locally and make an even greater impact through matching funds.
This year, your generosity has the potential to go even further. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation will provide a dollar-for-dollar match on qualifying donations, up to $50,000. In addition, Gove County has the opportunity to unlock up to $100,000 through a 2:1 matching grant from the Patterson Family Foundation. Together, these matching opportunities give us the potential to reach our ambitious $200,000 Match Month goal.
During Match Month, every donation made to the Gove County Community Foundation helps strengthen the future of Gove County. Whether you give $10, $100, or $1,000, your gift can be leveraged through matching funds to create an even greater impact. Donations support local projects, community improvements, charitable organizations, and opportunities that help make Gove County a place where people can live, work, grow, and thrive.
Our 2026 theme, “Saddle Up for Gove: Ride for the Gold,” represents the spirit of our community coming together with a shared goal: investing in the future of Gove County. When we give together, we create opportunities that reach far beyond a single donation and help build a stronger community for generations to come.

Dueling Pianos
The Kickoff to Match Month!
Join us on November 7, 2026, at the American Legion Building in Grainfield, Kansas, for an exciting evening of Dueling Pianos as we officially kick off Match Month in Gove County. This annual event is one of our favorite ways to bring our community together while celebrating the generosity and support that make Match Month possible.
Each year, generous local businesses and sponsors help us create an unforgettable evening filled with entertainment, great food, drinks, and opportunities to win. Guests will enjoy an amazing silent auction featuring donated items from local businesses and supporters, a ticket raffle, an open bar, and a wonderful meal catered by Broken Handle of Grainfield. Of course, the highlight of the evening will be the Dueling Pianos, bringing plenty of music, laughter, and audience participation throughout the night.
Tickets are $60 per person, and VIP tables are available for groups who want to be right in the middle of the action. Tables seat eight people and range from $100 to $300, with Front Row tables available for $300. Please note that table reservations do not include event tickets. If you would like to reserve eight tickets along with your table, please let us know when making your reservation.
This event is for guests age 21 and older. Space is limited, so we encourage you to reserve your tickets and table early.
