Sheyenne was born and raised in Northwest Kansas and has lived here her entire life. During her high school days, she thought she wanted that big city feel, but when she began working at First State Bank closely with the public, she knew this was where she was meant to be. This is the small hometown feel she wanted in her life. She gets so much joy from helping people and engaging with the community. Passionate about small-town living, Sheyenne brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her new role as the Gove County Community Foundation Director, starting July 1, 2024.
With many years of experience planning community events and assisting with various activities around Sheridan County, Sheyenne believes that Northwest Kansas is the ideal place to raise a family. She is committed to helping people feel rooted in these wonderful rural communities. Sheyenne loves creating meaningful relationships and engaging with the diverse communities within Northwest Kansas. She is eager to brainstorm and learn about the unique ways each community thrives.
Recently, Sheyenne moved to Park with her fiancé, Camron, and his son. Camron has worked for Wheatland-Grinnell schools for almost a year now, and they attend church at Gateway Fellowship in Oakley. Sheyenne held a Kansas Foster Care license for five years and cared for over 20 children during that time. She loved being a positive, happy part of their journeys and believes the small-town feel was beneficial for them to learn how to interact with the public. Sheyenne and her family truly believe this is the ideal area to raise a family.
